Testimonials: Clare's Story

Hi my name is Clare Williams and my weight problems started in my early twenties, after introducing my body to Alcohol and takeaways.

By the time I had my first child at 25 I was a size 16 and by the time my second child came along I was a size 20 gradually the weight piled on, before I knew it I was a size 30 and a very heavy 21 .7 stone. At five foot one I was having terrible trouble even walking to the local shops (five minutes away). I tried numerous diets with the yoyo effect!

After my consultation with Sharon and the team, the decision was easy, the Band was for me !!

I thought the ten days of yoghurt  would be hard but my determination was strong and I had lost 8lbs before my surgery, which was a bonus.

This picture was taken 3 days before my surgery. 

 The operation its self went really smooth, a little discomfort after, but was just so pleased that finally I could control how I ate and how I felt about what I ate. The band enabled me to use it as I tool for my weight loss. As long as I played by the rules, the band was my friend, I met many people who had the band fitted, some with not so good results, then when I listened to the way they ate, I'd think of course your not losing weight, I wouldn't lose weight if I ate chocolate because it went down easy.

Mine has been a gradual weight loss and I am pleased with the results. I never wanted to be a size 0, I am still losing weight slowly, the way I like it and for the first time in along time I like ME, I know when I get dressed in the morning I look good and I feel good and to me that is all that matters how I feel about myself.

I am a size 16 at the moment and 12.7 stone
and I AM REALLY PROUD OF MYSELF
but I could not have done any of this without the help of Sharon and the team.
